“Dr. Griffin is passionate and knowledgeable regarding the topic of incarceration. Her professional expertise and personal commitment is evident when she addresses audiences. This is not merely an academic area of study for her. She sincerely wants to see structural changes take place in very specific ways and seeks to motivate others to do this challenging work.”

Alex Detrick

“An activist that can effectively communicate the urgency of an issue in a way that draws disparate constituencies is a gem in today’s society. Attorney Christi Griffin is the gem of St. Louis, as she is in the vanguard of addressing the negative effects of mass incarceration on the nation in general and the black community especially. While covering topics from the Drug War to racial profiling, Attorney Griffins public speaking style is both captivating and cogent.”

Dr. Stefan Bradley

Director, African American Studies, St. Louis University

“Dr. Christi Griffin is a leading authority on mass incarnation and the injustices historically inherent in the Prison Industrial Complex. After hearing Dr. Griffin speak at the Missouri History Museum in detail about the devastating impact of the Prison Industrial Complex on the African American community and the nation, it opened my eyes and was my call to action! I am now a part of an organization whose mission is to raise awareness of and bring an end to the racial bias evident in the Prison Industrial Complex.”
